Something happens to us when we travel. Uprooted from the familiar, no matter how fastidious our planning, we often find ourselves slightly off balance and a little intoxicated. It’s that warm buzz that somehow clarifies everything in the moment; colors become more vibrant, every nuance of every sound can be heard singularly and the temperature of the air is apparent. We are alive, maybe for the first time.
It has often been said that travel is not so much about discovering the places you visit, but uncovering – or maybe even recovering – pieces of you in those new places. This has always been true for me.
What an odd name, Bhatakana. Think lots and lots of ahhhhh – Bah-Tah-Kah-Nah. It means to wander in Hindi and since India is where I began to unravel to be reconstructed anew, it felt fitting. And it’s kind of fun to say.
I am giddy with excitement that I get to take you with me. Allow me to guide you outside your comfort zone. This is where the magic happens. This is where you get to finally meet that amazingly strong, sparkly, brave person you are.
Start out carefully with a weekend away to reconnect to your purpose and intention. Or skydive right in with your whole self and join me in India. There are many packages to choose from. My recommendation? Take the one that scares you just a little.
A Bhatakana experience is filled with wandering and exploring and also includes:
- Prompted writing and journaling or other creative expression
- Photography – tips on taking emotionally connected photos
- Daily yoga and meditation
- Delicious, nutritious meals
- Accommodations for overnight stays
- Plenty of time for internal and external exploration
- Experiences of a lifetime
Where is your inner voice leading you? See what’s coming up.
